Special Equestrians owns twelve horses that are trained for therapeutic riding. Our horses are the key to the success of our program. To become one of our horses is a great honor, as we choose these special equine friends to perform with the highest degree of patience, love, and ability. These horses provide the vehicles for our riders to grow, learn, rehabilitate, and simply enjoy life. This page is to introduce and honor these wonderful equine friends of ours. Most of our horses have been donated to the program by people in our community.
If you are interested in donating your horse to Special Equestrians, you must read our horse donations guidelines and fill out a preliminary form. The form can be faxed (239-226-1279) or mailed (PO Box 61528, Fort Myers, FL 33906-1528) to our office. If your horse meets our criteria, we will contact you for an initial visit.
